About the Organisation

Who We Are

The Royal Ambassadors of Molete Baptist Church, Ibadan — a Baptist missionary organisation raising boys into Christ-like men since 1979.

A Ministry Built on Faith and Purpose

The Royal Ambassadors (RA) is the name of a Baptist worldwide missionary organisation for boys and young men between the ages of 10 and 35. It is an international organisation found on many continents — Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America — wherever there are Baptists.

The organisation in Nigeria is called Royal Ambassadors of Nigeria (RAN), operating under the Nigerian Baptist Convention (NBC). The Royal Ambassadors of Molete Baptist Church, Ibadan is one of the leading chapters within the Ona Iye Baptist Association and the Oyo Baptist Conference.

The work of Royal Ambassadors globally began in the United States of America in 1908, arriving in Nigeria through SBC missionaries in the 1920s. Today, it exists in all Baptist associations, conferences, and the Convention nationally, with Nigeria providing leadership for the entire African continent.

Making Real Men
Out of Boys

The Royal Ambassadors ministry at Molete Baptist Church formally commenced in 1979 under the vision of Revd Dr S. O. Olaniyan, Director of the Boys' and Men's Department of the NBC. Since that inaugural year, the organisation has grown from a single chapter to seven chapters, produced 28 Ambassadors Plenipotentiary, and made a continental impact through hosting the 2010 All African Royal Ambassadors Summit.

Every dimension of our ministry — spiritual development, academic excellence, leadership training, missions, music, and community service — flows from the conviction that boys who encounter Christ and are formed in His image will transform families, communities, and nations.
